Nine: Front 9
Each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they prefer. Both players then play from within 1 club distance of that spot. Play continues like this through the completion of the hole.

Nine: Back 9
Each player tees off on a hole. They then switch balls for their second shot (so each plays their partner's ball). For their third shot, they choose which ball they prefer. Whoever's ball was not chosen hits the third shot. Play proceeds as per a normal Foursomes competition (alternate stroke) through the hole.

Also known as Total Ball or Total Score. Teams of two each play their own ball through the hole. Team score is the combined score for both golfers.

In singles, each match features one player from each team. The player with the lower score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.
